Can anybody advise the best place to buy rugs. Need a few ready for the winter as all floors are marble. Have had a quick look and it seems quite expensive - around £900 per rug.

Don't know where you have looked, but kilims - colourful flat weave rugs start from around 15 tl for a small bedside size!! Try the market as suggested, unless its 100% wool thick carpet types you want? In which case try the larger stores such as Önder and Toros.

If you want to see some Kilims, we have a few left at our showroom, BOTANICA opposite TEMPO in Çatalköy just up the road from you. We haven't many left (mainly small ones and runners) but at least you see them and have a basic idea of cost.

Toros, next to Beko in Girne have some good ones at reasonable rates (near Mr Pound if that makes it easier)
