Mr Pound in Girne - 4TL each - the new type with a 'button' battery seem to be more reliable than the earlier version which had (Cheapo) standard AAA re-chargeable Ni-Cads

The new ones are recogniseable by their 'black top' - early ones had shiny metal tops

Heading West (towards Lapta) from the big roundabout at the bottom of the Lefkosia Road in Girne, it's on the right hand side - opposite Kombos, the Mercedes dealers - before you get to the roundabout with the fountain.

First of all they do not 'burn out'. Most of them use cheap NiCad rechargeable batteries as KeithCaley has intimated in post no.2. If you replace the existing NiCads with a quality brand (which I have done with my lights) then you should not have a problem. Most if not all solar garden lights use led's instead of bulbs and they should and will last forever and a day and do not 'burn out'.

If you ever want to throw your lights away because they do not work then please throw them my way as I will only be too happy to sort them out and use them in my garden.

I bought some from Mr Pound a week or so ago. They light up ok but don't seem to last very long as when I come in after a night out they are off. Maybe I stay out too late

offins,

there is also a very good Mr Pound shop in Famagusta, a lot better laid out than Girne. From Esentepe go over mountains, head to famagusta. Go in on the lefkosa/Famagusta road, when you get to the end of the road turn right then left at traffic lights, Mr Pound about 200 metres on left.
