| it goes on age 1, the newer the more/weight /yes diesel is more than petrol |

It does depend on weight and age, as well as engine size.
The tax office can advise you what any particular car would cost. |

| WRT age of vehicle and road tax - I understand it is more relevant the date the vehicle was registered in the TRNC, not the age of the vehicle.
I registered a 1993 vehicle last year. The vehicle does not have to be MOT'd for three years as it was a "new" registration, nor is there a subsequent emission test required during this period.
Initial car tax was substantial as it was a "new" registration, dropped slightly this year and may continue to drop year on year. |
