Excellent post.

It brings a lot to Cyprus44 and I am sure it will help all members that have queries/problems with their stay in the TRNC. Perhaps you need to read the 'mission statement' at the top of the login page or maybe you are on the wrong board (easily done).

cronos, he can't win can he. He didn't yawn, he pointed out in a humourous way that it should not be on this board, he didn't even delete it and leave an explanation as he could easily have done because so many people are against him that he can't jump left without someone saying he is biased.



Think yourself lucky that AJ has more patience than someone like me, I would have an automated delete button installed for certain people, maybe that is why I don't have any friends.



In answer to the question, which wife are we talking about here. I think oceana has the answer though, lets face it, would you realy want to live with either your wife or your mother after leaving the other to swim, suicide might be the best option

I don't think the "Mission Statement" on the home page is necessarily meant set the tone for the whole of the member's forum.. if it is then a lot of members would have ceased posting years ago...



The forum being open and largely free from censorship is more like the chatter in the public bar at your local... if you overhear a conversation and you think you have something to add you can join in or just listen and learn...



If you find the topic of conversation does not interest you, you wander off and find someone else to chat to....



You wouldn't go up to a group in the pub and say "I find this topic boring, and therefore you should cease!".... would you? It seems some here would.

I only wanted a bit of light relief at this very sad time in my life. My Father passed away a few days ago and are having to cut short our stay here to get home for his funeral.

You may find that the percentage of posts dealing with property issues actually increases.....and that wouldn't be right would it ?

That doesn't mean that EVERY non-Cyprus thread has to be axed - to suggest that seems ridiculous to me. Why would you want a totalitarian regime?

AJ & the other 'Mods' are trying to do a difficult job - one that I would never do (partly because of the type of reaction that my own post caused)

Left to itself (or to US ) the forum would descend into chaos, as we've seen in the past.

I really don't know why a gentle 'nudge' to keep it more-or-less on course is treated with universal horror and derogatory remarks - whether that nudge comes from a 'Mod' or from another member...

Come on mods a bit of flexibility without the need to constantly score points by drawing attention to the fact that the topic is not particularly TRNC oriented is all we are asking. Even if we do behave like school kids, no-one wants 'hall monitors' repeated clips around the ears.
