Hi Guys can anyone give me an idea of how to relieve pins and needles in my left hand. I have had this for about a week and its driving me nuts. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks

Jeff

Get it checked-out by a doctor.

Jeff,

i agree with TRNCVaughan you really should get this checked by a Dr. When was the last time you had your Blood Pressure checked?

Could it be Carpel Tunnel Syndrome?

If it is lasting over a week it is possible. The fact that it is in the left hand only may indicate something else.

In any event the Doctor will know best.

Carpel Tunnel tends to be just the fingers..... not the whole hand.

I had Carpel Tunnel Syndrome when I was pregnant and believe me it is NOT jus the fingers but can affect the whole hand and wrist. Could also be RSI of course, which, given your admission of being at the PC and bad posture of hands, is more likely. Get it checked.

Jeff,

Yes the other posters are correct in what they say pins and needles (paraesthesia) can be a sign of carpel tunnel but can also be a sign of something more serious like stroke or diabetes! Or indeed something as simple as a trapped nerve we can only guess on here as none of us are Doctors.

My professional opinion is see a Dr. sooner rather than later if for nothing more than to rule out a serious complaint, and if you do suffer from Hypertension then you must see about this today.

Hi All

Thanks for your comments having done a bit of digging around on the web i think it could be carpul tunnel as its mainly in my small finger and ring finger and the back of the hand in that area on the left hand. Had a blood test for diabetes in Feb this year and was ok but will seek some professional advice on this as you suggest.

Any recommends on good Doctors anyone.

Oh and Barry can you lend me a mic stand (joke)

Try Dr Selim at the Green Clinic near the Pia Bella hotel. She speaks perfect English and is excellent.
