I have a contract phone (pay monthly) and was delighted when they sent a text offering 500 minutes for 125tl a month to ANY phone (in UK Turkey or Cyprus). My bill was 534tl!!!!!! nearly 3 times higher than normal!! I am in the process of getting an itemised bill. Has anyone else had a brilliant offer like this??

I also have a contract and I just tend to delete any of the texts they send me. I do just fine without any of these 'dubious' special offers!

I took the same deal and have been merrily calling everyone - i dread to think what they will charge me if that is the case? How are they justifying these charges?

I have "Pay As You Go",

Was OK for a long time,

Then they offered me free "Vouchers" if I bought 100/200 units etc.

Did buy 100 units, then applied for my "100 Free Vouchers", :-(

The "100 Free Vouchers" last for 1 week, then any balance is scrubbed from your account,

along with the the original 100 units that I bought in the 1st place.

Which means, if you only use your "100 Free Vouchers" in that week,

it's cost you 6tl that you paid for the original 100 units.

If on the other hand you can use the whole 200 units, then it's a good deal.

Another problem with Turkcell.



After receiving a phone call,

I was then sent a "Service Message"

informing me of my balance,

units were deducted after an INCOMING CALL.

I have sent messages to them since, to...



Please let us know any questions you may have,

complaints or your satisfaction with any Turkcell products or services.

Here's part of one....

"My friend phoned me, on 06-07-2010, call lasted just over 5 minutes. Then Service Reply to my phone said I had only 58.42 units left.Why were 24 units deducted from my credit for an incoming Turkcell phone call?"



Still waiting for an answer :-(



To check your Turkcell PAYG balance press *123# then send.

Keep a note of your balance, as you should ONLY be charged for out going calls!
