| Are you and Experienced Remote Control Airplane Pilot ?? Or do you know of a Remote Control Club here in TRNC? If anyone out there is a keen pilot of R/C planes and wouldn't mind spending a couple of hours showing us some flying tips that would be great. We've just imported a WingTiger, spent about 2 hours every day on the simulator for a week, now we need to fly the real thing but at over £200 for the WingTiger we are a bit nervous. Thanks Thomas |

| Thomas5/Msg 1: In Girne, perhaps Gary, Kadir, and myself, are the only active R/C fliers. If you wish to visit me, and you are a 'first timer', it is essential that your model is set up correctly - for that you need someone with experience - I'll be happy to help you. There is currently no decent flying field that we know of in the Girne district - I said 'decent', so we do have a place to fly, but the conditions are most unsatisfactory compared to how they should be. There is a flying field on the way to Famagusta, run by the owner of the 'Model Ucak' shop in Lefkosa - but it's a long way to go and also his charge for using the site is excessive. However, he is a nice chap and can teach you to fly on the 'Buddy-Box' system - depending what Tx you have. Prior to attempting to fly, please call into 'Ronnies Furniture', and ask for Roy. |
