I will not go into it yet but I had a spooky encounter on saturday at cheateaux lambusa.........

Just for you I shall reveal the miricle of chateaux lambousa on the 9th of august 2008.



There once was a bloke he swerved to miss a dog he ended up with various broken bones.......



5 months later he was doing ok but in pain as he hobbled arround on this fine sunny day he went to the said Saturday Market looking for a c,d cleaner unable to find one he decided to visit the bar on the way spotted a biik stall pausing the said books noticed one called HEALING CRYSTALS """





ahhh yes the cynical chap quipped to the lady can you wave one of your crystals over my busted hip as I am in great pain ???



Lady asks what happend ?? story relaid to her !! at no time did she touch me.... but placed her hand over hip joint where the pain was aprox 4 mins later hip and leg was getting warm !!! after anoter 2 minutes Lad says ok off you go ..........





Having gone in on crutches I went out able to do sqats walk without crutches and totally pain free.... I even sat in a position that I know gave me pain..... there was none.......



Bahhh hum bug clap trap yes I know you tell me why I WALKED OUT UNAIDED EVEN ABLE TO JOG AND MIMIC DANCING.

Good on you for trying something different, wife and I have lived in the Oriant for 2 years now, and we are both believers in Holistic healing of which reiki is only one. I do believe that Crystals can realign your Chakras and help the body's natural healing process. We also believe in Feng Shui and using the 5 elements of nature to bring a calming effect in your living space. We just bought a water feature for our apartment which is absolutely essential to creating some tranquility in the home.



Good luck with the Crystals and keep an open mind.

I don't believe in any of the mystical stuff but heck what works works. If I was in your position then I wouldn't give a monkeys about why I felt better I would just rejoice and grateful.



Now a couple of questions. What dance form were you mimicing? Break dancing? Moon walking British Garage or Rave?



And the million dollar question Were you all thonged up whilst performing?

I am qualified in a number of alternative therapies including Reiki healing. Complimentary therapies can work more profoundly than conventional medicines in matters of chronic pain.

I agree that there is much stupidity and superstition out there which has been proven to be false by Science, yet many still believe it to be true. There are also many many charlatans, poorly trained practitioners and awfully designed processes in the world of alternative medicines.



I could be very wrong about Energy medicine, but there is a substantial and growing body of scientific research in this area. Much of this research is being challenged. Anything that is relatively new always is, but look at who is doing the challenging, the ones who have the most to lose - the drug companies.



If you are open and receptive I am happy to give you references, but perhaps you are just as fundamental in your beliefs as those with superstitious beliefs.

A friend of mine had a stroke. She lost the use of her left arm and hand. She also had difficulty walking. She was told by her physician that she may have to use a walking stick for the forseable future, perhaps never being able to discard it.

Acupuncturists say that they have a six month window in which to work with stroke victims. I sent her to an acupuncturist friend who treated her in three sessions and got her to do some qi gong exercises. She now has full movement in her arm and hand and has discarded her walking stick.



This is not to say that acupuncture works for everything and everyone, plus there are probably good and bad practitioners.

I have used those cassetes with the wire - you plug into your mp3 player then play the cassete - I had one in my last car which didn't have cd/mp3 player - it worked a treat so Ole 'stick a rock' doesn't know everything!

If a treatment works for you I don't think it matters terribly much why unless there are side effects etc.



Even conventional medicine is not particularly scientific if you look at the way research trials etc are funded. Many established practices such as over prescription of antibiotics are positively harmful for the community as a whole.



I have heard some doctors estimate up to 50% of treatments probably do nothing or may be harmful and when you factor in the placebo effect it doesn't look that impressive. I remember some of the stories my mother told me of what treatments were used when she was a nurse in the 1960's which would make you shudder today.



Of course in many cases modern medicine can generate amazing results but its no universal panecia.
