hmmm dubious imam. Always found Egyptians to be very tolerant of Christians. In Sharm they even put Christmas decorations up on (and in) the hotels aswell as Christmas trees. Don't know about Luxor, never been around Christmas time.

Simple answer - No.

The Muslims filmed rioting will no doubt have affiliations to one radical islamic group or another. I would hope that true Muslims will see the burning of the Koran day as just what it is - a publicity stunt by a bigoted individual.

Personally, as a non-believer I couldn't give a monkey's about what books get burnt.

Not the most fortunate remark I've read lately: http://is.gd/f2NV6 . I hope you meant "religious books". If so, I agree.

Please delete the post, clifhanger seems to have mis-read the the story...or is trying to incite...

His link actually reads...What if some Wahabi Imam in a mosque decided to burn the holy Bible after Friday prayer in Cairo ....

WHAT IF.....the article is asking what would happen in the Christian world if this happened, now where does it say the bible is to be burnt.

To date as far as I'm aware I've never seen any story ever of a bible being burnt.

Its an Evangelist Minister that is threatening to burn the Koran.

to a good muslim the koran is in their heart that cannot be burnt, the book is only valuable to the person with faith, otherwise its just another book whether its the bible or koran

The same sentiments when Leeds soccer supporters burnt the cherished Turkish flag then pissed over it in Taksim square, Istanbul awhile back!
