After the good advice received on here I think I will stay well clear of Freelanders. So am now looking for a Pajero. Ideally a 1.8 manual petrol but will consider other options.

Hi Judy I think we spoke before I had a 1.8 Pajero and although a nice car was a bit underpowered and not that good on fuel ecconomy I bought a 2.5 ford ranger and quite honestly I think it runs circles around the Pajermo and also returns about 30mpg on a run I am selling this for £9500 if you are interested .it is a 2003 model reg trnc 2006 the only reason I am selling is that the wife has a knee problem and needs an automatic

ps before this turns into a debacle about pajermo's and ford rangers this is my opinion as there is bound to be few nuts out there who will start raving about how good Pajermo's are please don't bother
