This is just so sad Poor David. They did get away with much.I hope he gains strenght from his friends, as by reading some of his posts he was ready to throw the towel in. This is enough to tip anyone over the edge.I hope they catch the swines soon

Have just spoken to David and as you can imagine he is very angry and upset.

No obvious signs as to how they gained entry to the house.

The only obvious item missing is the box to his TV package.

So sorry to hear that David has had yet another break-in, it is not a nice experience I know.

When it happened to us, twice in the space of 9 weeks, I wondered the same Pugwash. I am convinced that the b@stards know us and had been watching our house. Normally, well in UK anyway, they totally disrespect your property, but in our case they came in, took what they wanted and left, not disturbing anything else.

They even left our friend's wallet that they took money from in the first case and my handbag complete with credit cards and phone, after they took cash and jewellery from it in the second instance.

People are very quick to blame the Turkish workers for these crimes, but I wonder if we should look closer to fellow ex-pats that we have made "FRIENDS" with and know our movements and when we are not at home. Why would a chance thief only steal David's TV box and how come there is no obvious entry?

Strange, in my opinion. Be aware of 'new friends' you meet in the bar.

What was quite common in the UK, Once burgled and Insurance paid out, packaging and boxes for replacements were left out for dustmen, Indicating said items were in house.

Thanks, Paul - I had just read:

" many more will try to bring the Brit's together, but they won't. We are too busy doing each other down, jealously criticising each other, blaming others for....." - your words - on this very board....

You DID the right thing ! ;)

posted on behalf of david ( cyprus is home ).

I went against my principles and had a read on c44.

Right now if I find who washerman in is I am going to kill the bastard!!

They go on about libel etc on their beloved forum well here is one winging his way.

As the box has been owned for 4 years I do not think it comes in the realms of repossesion.

I have read his crap before, is he internet club or something???

I am off to solicitor in morning and intend to sue c44 and Izzet Zorlu for defamation of character. Unless a full apology is posted by 9am monday.

Please copy and post if you feel inclined.

Doppleganger (on behalf of David) - David, you don't seem to be having much luck at the moment so, I will give you a walk-over. I know you didn't mean it.

If you had read the thread properly before you asked Doppleganger to post on your behalf, you would have noticed that I already apologised in message 15, but anyway, I unreservedly apologise.

Now, I can't stop, there's something on TV I want to watch

WASHERMAN, you are very aptly named whatever you say you leave a scum mark behind. If you stopped

to put your brain into gear you might not say such hurtful things at the most inappropriate time. Time to

grow up little boy. It could be your house next and then you wont feel so smug.

Doppleganger, I think we all know who the culprits are and they are NOT British, I would gladly sign a

petition to have them deported. They are creating a UK type situation where old people are afraid to

go out, that and being ripped off by the property sector is not why we all came here. Give David my

best wishes.

Kill (quoted in message 19) is not a good thing to say. This can be taken as evidence as a threat to someones life which can get you into more trouble.
