That a 'deal' between North/South Cyprus, EU, UN, Turkey et all has already been struck and if so what is it likely to be? When will all be informed and what consequences does it have for all who have invested here? Just have this gut feeling.

I feel there will 'never' be a deal done, as for consequences nothing will change the prices will rise very slowly and visitors will arrive from others countries than the UK.'invested' as normal the ones that got in early will be smiling the rest will only recoup there money if they have anything built .IMHO

I feel there is a great deal of guessing on this thread Will not call it wishful thinking since if a deal appeared, it could be either good news or bad news for most "44" members Assuming the agreement was similar to Annan 2004, it would involve some compensation to be paid, a little restitution recognition of the TRNC... and a massive increase in property values Unfortunatately Christofias who helped sabotage the 2004 referendum, has again ruled that Annan is "dead" (September 2008) and instead harps on about restoring former Greek Cyp-properties, thus nullifying the chances of real bizonalism For our part Eroglu will not even discuss territory until the properties question is fully chewed over, ie you get no free land ...this second time around! The GC's would never accept an even "worse" deal than 2004, and I doubt Turkey would demean itself by pulling out, for no benefit Watch this space: to see the staus quo continue far into the forseeable future

Nobody is selling anybody out. The rules about possession will be similar to last agreement. If anything it will be slightly more to TRNC advantage because they now have the ECHR ruling about reasonable compensations and ownership priorities. Those millions awards are stupid and a thing of the past thank god and I don't even believe in him. Happy Bayram to all in TRNC.

The UN Ban K Moon everybody even our own politicians will be involved, they will have their jollies but my guess the deal is done. Its all about timing xxxxxxxxx |

It is very sad, we met a v old lady who said "Cyprus did not go to war, Turkey and Greece did!" - she is still looking after the house and garden for her Greece neighbours - for when they "come back" - she tells us of the times when it was so hot in the summers they all slept in the gardens together
