The Word PILLOCK is this not to be used on Cyprus 44 by any Member. Perhaps No 1 or someone can confirm.

The origin of pillock is believed to go back to the 16th century meaning penis from the Norwegian word pillicock, presumably akin to the slang dickhead meaning inept fool.

Not a nice word to call someone.

So for clarification this word is deemed to be offensive and any threads containing offensive words are deleted.

OK - I admit it - I did, on another post a few days ago, call measey a "Pillock". I was labouring under the (obvious) misapprehension that it was a type of 'harmless insult', i.e. "you're a bit of a pillock", or "you're a bit of a dipstick". Perhaps it's a London thing?

I appreciate the fact that measey took offence at this.

However, I have to say that I find the words "kn.b" and pr...s" extremely offensive; however, it did not stop measey using it on another thread. So, measey, if you are advocating 'what is sauce for the goose, etc....... ' try at least and stick to your guns. While you're at it, please attempt to keep your messages on the relevant threads, rather than roam from thread to thread posting random (often totally bizarre) messages.
