Other than nero, what free progams can members reccomend for writing films to dvd.

In what format are your films ? .vob files ? divx?

I have nero But after putting in a new power supply 10 mins nto writing dvd computer shuts down !!

Nero is recognised as being a very good program - have you been on their website to try and upgrade it?

I have DVD shrink - so far copied every DVD I have tried will bring a copy out if you want. Will be arriving in TRNC on 11th September staying a Hotel Sempati.

I've been burning various file formats to blank cd and dvd using Nero for months without any problems. Earlier this week I bought a new supply of blank dvds and immediately began receiving a "Power Calibration Error" message from Nero. I tried various alternative burning programs without success. I did some research on Google and as a result I changed the burn speed for dvds in Nero to 4x rather than the default 8x. This has proved 90% successful. I also bought a better brand of blank dvds. They were more expensive but with these I have had no difficulties burning at 8x. I hope this helps.
