| saw them ONCE but can't remember where ;-) Think it might have been starling. I think I saw a post from Lilli saying that she gets them from Ileli. |

| Yes we have got excellent fresh Swede and Parsnips in the last month at Elelli, we blanched some and froze them. |

| Last year i grew some from seeds (seeds came from uk). They grew well and tasted good, had the first one with my xmas dinner, yum. Maybe you could try growing a few. |

| I have seen them in Ileli as well as parsnips and last week Blueberries! If you ask them I think you will be pleasantly surprised as they seem to get in whatever we have asked for, within reason of course. |

| There is a root vegetable Beyazsarmak available here, it looks like a turnip wrapped in a bandage. Which is funny because the name seems to translate as white bandage. It cooks and tastes just like swede without the orange colour. |

| I planted them about this time last year and they were ready for xmas, i planted 2nd batch 6 weeks later. hope this helps, good luck |
