Had a phone call from David (cyprusishome) last night who had received a visit from Lapta police

asking him to attend the police station this morning.

The older boy from the family who live in the village was bought up from the cells and the grand mother was also in attendance.

The TV box that was stolen from David's house was produced from one of several bags containing various items.

David has made a statement and the boy has been charged and appeared at Girne court this morning.

Cyprus Today will be doing an article in saturday's edition.

clif,

You seem to have a lot to say on all subjects, some very nasty comments as well. 110 posts in the 9 days you have been a member here. Why don't you post your photo so we can all see what you look like.

Well done Lapta Police , now there is just a little matter of illegal breaking and entering, changing locks,

cutting electricity and oh yes attempted murder..........not as if you dont know the culprits.

Still the really serious crime has been solved. ..........................

Superb news ... now when are they going to charge the grandmother with something so that we can have them off the streets and not have to wonder if they are about, watching the house, every time you go out!

clif,

Of course you don't need to be a member for any defined length of time to make comments on this BB.

It just seems that you do have a lot to say for someone who is new to C44.

simbas,

Perhaps this person isn't who we think she/he is. Certainly the spelling is better than usual, (well marginally)

"Why don't you post your photo so we can all see what you look like."

You are having an 'effing laugh... I've tried on numerous occasions to get an updated picture that fulfils the criteria for inclusion in my posts (rather than the Mascot photo on my Profile which was pulled under the photo regs - i.e. only a real picture of the member is acceptable) - I sent them all to the correct email address and you've guessed - NOTHING!

As it is several members have pictures of people who are complete strangers to this board and probably complete strangers to them - like Sid Vicious etc.

erm....i have to say, that although these boys were caught, they didn't spend much time in jail....they have been out and about in the village for sometime now...i didn't even know they were taken away...perhaps they had to pay a fine instead?

Well done for catching them...but how about actually making them stay locked up for a while?

I know that catching thieves et al, is important, but surely an overnight stay and a slap on the wrists is not really punishment for a seasoned burglar?

I was on the bus today with these people, and i have to say, they really gave me the heeby jeebies...i actually got off, and hailed another one...
