I didn't ask but I some of my neighbours introduced me to his Dad - they DELIBERATELY didn't TELL me it was his Dad - I figured it out when I saw the photos of George about the place :o



I'm guessing his Dad's parents moved to the UK ..... His Dad changed his name from a Greek sounding one to a very English one - if you believe wiki...



I was born in N.Ireland and my kids in England.... They support England at Footie and Rugby and one of 'em competes for England at a sporting event at a junior level .... So their kids are unlikey to claim to be Irish...



So I guess that possibly explains why George didn't WANT to be a Cypriot ?
