Where is the best place to find a good second hand car. Usually hire when we come over, but we're now thinking that buying a car might not be a bad idea even though cars are expensive in TRNC. Would be interested the know where people have had good service from car retailers

Try "Tiga Trading"

Speak to Hugh 0533 845 1638

I am sure he will give you a good deal, say Wayne gave you his number.

Have to agree with johhnylee about 4 X 4 cars at Karaoglanoglu-Mustafa was extremely helpful.Organised Insurance/Tax etc and has retaxed our car whilst we were away.Recommended.

Re msg11 you may think there are some bargains out there butcompared to the prices I am selling cars for in the uk they are ridiculously expensive in TRNC and judging by the cars on the pitches when i was there last month they are poorly preparedfor sale.

I'd suggest stay away from the dealers and look at a private sale from a forum member....

Speaking of which, funnily enough....

Many thanks for you advice. Message 7 - not out until beginning of oct so might be interested in your car. What is is?

Thanks too for the contacts for dealers - will look at these when we're over. Noticed that on the car lots no one puts up the asking price for the cars on sale which suggest that you bargain hard.

Bob - yes, we're quite gobsmacked at the price of old cars here - but I guess thats the market place.

You may be able to buy cheaper, privately but you would not get the service that you get from some dealers.

Tiga Trading will certainly do all they can to help, Hugh is the best person to see.

The car is a Honda Aris - 4 door saloon. Off the top of my head as I am not there at the moment, it has only done about 33,000 Km. It is immaculate condition, 2005 automatic. Taxed until April 2010 and MOT until 2012.

I bought this 18 months ago for £6500, looking for £5250. Reason for sale returning back to UK.

I will be over in 3/4 weeks. Let me know if you are interested, and I can ask someone to let you have a look if you are over in TRNC

Have bought 2 cars from Tiga.

Very friendly, very helpful and the after service is excellent.

Nothing is too much trouble for them.

Tony, Ahmet (? think that is his name) and Hugh go out of their way to provide a first class service.

Go over the moutain road as if you are going to Ercan airport, after passing through the military base and heading for the roundabout Lefkosia - Iskele Road it is on the left hand side just before you reach the roundabout. They do not have anything under £7,000 though.
