Is this to repair an existing large marble covered patio or 26 metres in total as I have found that marble patios are a nightmare in the sense that they are very slippery and dangerous particularly when wet or walked on in wet feet ?. They also do not weather well and look awful when the inevitable cracks appear in short time. There are many other pleasing alternatives at far less cost. If it has to be marble have you tried approaching various people employed as builders rather than those specialising in selling marble as you may be lucky and suprised at what they can source remarkably cheaply for cash provided you are not worried where it came from ? ! In all events best of luck with the project

No, just zips as I have arthritic fingers. Have been called "as smooth as a marble in a bucket of snot" and a lot worse, but never before something as mild as a tinker !

Theres Cyprus Marble up the road opposite Erderner in Karakum. They have piles of off cuts that they will sell for not very much. They can look great done in a 'crazy paving' way. Tony

I think that the marble at Serendipity's is the reclaimed old traditional flooring from old houses. We bought some slabs from there for an ornamental section of the garden. They were expensive but if you want the authentic stuff I guess you have to pay, or perhaps visit a few old villages and try to do a deal with locals.

yes its for an outside area we have 5 stone arches and i wanted itn the old style rather than mixing it with new . if treated and cleaned correctly its not as slippery as youd think as it has more of a slatelooking finish and texture

That guy is a rip off. He was supposed to restore some doors for us with reclaimed wood, a friend went past to check on the progress and found him using filler instead of replacing the wood. When we complained he threw us out of his shop, but we got refund after a few days only because our friend has family in the police here. If its flooring you need, head out of girne towards lapta, there are a couple of places after the gau turn off on the right hand side which we have used and have flooring ect.
