We are considering installing a woodburning stove before the winter. Any recommendations for supply and installation companies? Do any companies have a shop/showroom to go and view?

Thanks

There is a good shop between the Belapais traffic lights and the Lefkosa roundabout.

Jane The shop Vaughan is talking about is Akinlar, they have just fittied ours this week and they were so good.

Everything done as they explained. They will come out and visit you first to see what size you need and advise you from there.

Have to agree with Teresa in regards to Akinlar.

We have one fitted two years ago. The owner speaks excellent English and is really helpful.

You will certainly notice the difference between having a wood burner against an open fire.

Akinlar are brilliant, we had a made to measure log burner fitted into our existing Marble fireplace, they made an excellent job, and it sends out masses of heat, whats more no money was asked for until we were totally satisfied. Would definately recommend them to anyone, very professional.

Andrew4232 - A chap who worked for Greenium fitted ours and was very good I will look out his number when I arrive in TRNC next Friday and pass it on. Do you have the flue made for the stove?

Deniz1 you do not need either. You can have a stove and the pipes go through the wall and up the side of the house. Neighbours of ours have had one in their lounge and one in their kitchen/diner, on outside walls, pipes inside up the wall, going outside just below the ceiling.

Andrew, you could do it yourself if you have a fireplace and the metal piping that comes with the stove. Hubby did ours himself and it is a great source of heat in winter. Took him about half a day to complete the job.
