To fill the gaps

R Keane

Dixie Dean

K Dalgleish

D Beckham

Greavesy

And really have to give a place to Stan Matthews

So my team would be - Banks - Stiles - Edwards - Charlton - gerrard - Hoddle - Matthews - Dean - Best - Evans - Law

With the rest as subbies, its not easy this

Celtic were all Scots so don't count.

How about Spurs 1960/61 with players from all the home nations. (1963 first British team to win European trophy)

Mr Vince has got his facts wrong.

All time British will include some Men of Steel, Norman bites your legs etc.

But which ones did you like watching simply because they graced the game.... For me Gary Lineker, Geoff Hurst, Alan Clarke, Trevor Brooking, Ali McCoist.

One player who I left out of the above, (only because I forgot about him when writing my list), is Tommy Tayler who was killed in the Munich - Manchester United air disaster. He is probably one of the greatest scorers in British football. When the list of all time greats are mentioned, his name does not always crop up outside of Old Trafford circles.

He started his career at Barnsley scoring 26 goals in 44 appearances. He played for Man Utd 166 times and scored 112 goals and played for England 19 times scoring 16 goals. Now that folks is a staggering record when you analyse it. Very nearly on a par with Jimmy Greaves, yet Taylor was killed at the age of 26. What would he have done if it hadn't been for Munich.
