And all those who joined for two minutes, years ago and aren't allowed to leave. Remember this board is managed by the Hotel California team!

It seems to me that most of the Cyprus forum have joined, to add their scintillating wit and strange memories.

RE msg 3, elko2: (...) It is only a handful with multiple idendities, say ten times five makes fifty (...)

=> Oh. How do you know? And if you know for certain: why don't you do something about it?

RE msg 7, Geoff: (...) How many contributed/donated to the finances appeal? (...)

=> About 200, Geoff, after many weeks. Some even contributed £ 1.00 (one Sterling).

"Some even contributed £ 1.00 (one Sterling)."

Hans are you 'outing' me?

If so... I'd like to remind you that £1 per active member was what Izzet asked for in the appeal... it was not a contest to see who was the biggest donor... or was it?

Re No.8: Pathetic, never seen such a place as the TRNC where expats are such skinflints.

Plenty of moans, no cash forthcoming to back up their moans.

Too much hassle in the TRNC for my liking - thinking of moving out after 8 years to Aruba.

Better climate, no PTP required, Title Deeds issued when you pay for the house.

And what is more it is classed as EU so we get our UK State Pension annual increases there,

More on Aruba: Residence permit a 10 minute job, no medicals, no silly Mucktar letters, and all that jazz.

Aruba was our second choice at the time, now our first. COL about same as here.

"10000 members. Fantastic!" con?

If you can't leave you can't claim 10,000 members.

There are only about 2,000 regular readers and about 200 to 250 regular contributors...

Claiming 10,000 members is about as sensible as British Rail claiming 2 billion passengers because over the years that's how many people have travelled on the railway system....

Statistics are like a bikini.... what they hide is more interesting than what they reveal...

It's a quandary isn't it?

Ismet, "It is only a handful with multiple identities, say ten times five makes fifty". If you are sure on this fact then why have you not acted?

I'll ask Pikey next time he's in touch. He's guaranteed to have an opinion on the matter.
