CILER NIYAZI BALI (BRT radio and Televison presenter) and LEE HICKENS (TRNC legend in his own lunchbox) will co-host the Disibility Knows No Borders Concert.

Show opens with MEISAM an Iranian keyboard making his TRNC debut playing a selection of electronic synthesized rock. CHERRY B a songstress with an amazing voice follows before local band THE OUTLAWS with young drummer Olly take the stage.

Popular Turkish Cypriot band NIYAL OZTURK and THE SECRET moves the event on before THE INSANITY takes us near to the climax. British session musician BARRY SNAKES will wow the Amphitheatre with some sensational hot guitar classics before handing over to JONNIE HAWKINS and THE FUNKY MONKEY rock group which has reformed for this one off performance.

You can pay on the night 30tl or you can buy a ticket for 20tl at various outlets from Esentepe to Alsancak.

Starts at 1800.

There is another thread running with all the ticket outlets.

Draft beer.... understand it will be Efes and Fosters... and other liquids... food also will be supplied... we do not have any control over this... but Hal goes into a meeting in the morning to find out the full range and costs of products.

We will man the doors so the take in is all in our control!!!! Will ask Hal to post full menu sometime Monday.

We do have a supply of cushions (rent these at 0.50tl) all the cash from this renting service goes to the Girne Rehabilitasyon so rent 2!!!!!! - good to toss at Lee!!!!

But who need boooooozzzzzzzz and something to sit on when there will be so much great rocking music to jump about and bounce along with!!!!!

Msg 14 Tamand;

It wouldn't be Funky Monkey without Ronnie, would it? Pegasus kindly provided tickets for the band members who were in the UK to come out especially for this gig. You may even get dancers and backing vocalists. This will be a Monkey gig to remember!

Focus, Curved Air, Hawkwind and Wishbone Ash.

That`s an absolute classic line up.

Got a Curved Air album which I`m gonna dig out and play now!

Is this a regular festival in Bury?

What`s it called, any idea if there is a website?

Julia,

The answer is yes and remember take a cushion for your rear as the stone is very hard.

You can also hire a cushion on the night I think for half a lira.

mess 38 - Jonnylee - i think you need to take your dark Elvis glass's off when you log at the forum..

I looked at both the video's i posted and none of the ladies on there looked "dog ruff" - all looked pretty darn sexy to me ;0)

and as far as looking all the same ?? well perhaps to a layman, but to an eagle eyed chappie like me, you can usually tell which provence they are from......
