| His passing away was marked before the Chelsea game yesterday with a one minute standing ovation, so much more fitting than a minutes silence. |

| I saw him play dozens of times for England, Tottenham (in the double year etc) and Brighton. He was a real old fashioned centre forward but had skill. In the late fifties or early sixties I saw him score for England against Spain with a superb chip from 35 yards. Relatively young to die but even as a player his life style was not healthy. |
