Ex Spurs legend Bobby Smith has died aged 77, he scored 208 goals in 317 appearances for Tottenham, he also played for Chelsea and Brighton

His passing away was marked before the Chelsea game yesterday with a one minute standing ovation, so much more fitting than a minutes silence.

Excellent goal scorer, I think he played a few times for England and had a good scoring record then as well

I saw him play dozens of times for England, Tottenham (in the double year etc) and Brighton. He was a real old fashioned centre forward but had skill. In the late fifties or early sixties I saw him score for England against Spain with a superb chip from 35 yards.

Relatively young to die but even as a player his life style was not healthy.
