Have lost the link to the original thread on this subject but did promise I would report back following the "minor" operation to remove a basal cell carcinoma from the side of my head.

I thought it would be a simple nick and snip thing with maybe a single stich - big mistake - the doctor took out a lump of me that was around 3.5cm long, 2.5cm wide and 0.5cm thick - that was to ensure he got it all and did not have to go back for another shot at it.

Took about 45 minutes to do it and he was most concerned with ensuring that my eyebrow still worked as normal and that my face was not "stretched out of shape or had anymore lines on it that when he started. I would recommend him without reserve to anyone who needs this sort of work. A really nice guy who speaks perfect English and is an artist in his trade. He tells me he has a 100% success record will only give me a 99.9% guarantee pending results of pathology. Can't ask more than that and his after care is spot on.

Mick,

Really pleased all went well for you and you are pleased with the care etc.

Could you please do me a favour and e-mail me the details of the Dr to put on my list as I have only heard good reports. e.g. phone number and address and directions to clinic. Thanks in advance

I'm also interested to know more, so I can put him and/or the location of his clinic on a map. Come on, Waddo, spill the beans...

Waddo, if he's based in Girne: http://www.is.gd/f6SEq . If not (Lefkoşa?), I'll copy his details from your post to Chris.

Hans,

The bottom right hand corner of the box surrounding "Zeytinlik"on your map is right over the Doctors surgery! Now all I have to do is download a picture I took of his advert board today and get that information to Chris and yourself and my job will be done - almost.

Still waiting for path results but otherwise am now fit to fight (or is it flight) again and feel safe to get my hands on a cold beer at last.

Aftercare from this guy is just great and I have total confidence in him, he spends so much time explaining what he has done and why that it puts you well at ease.

I thought it was Dr Bugra who operates in several hospitals but who has an office at the back of Kyrenia. If so, his details were on the earlier thread, or I could give full name and number etc.

Sounds as though 'minor' became '[major' and also sounds that this was done when it should be. Well done, brave person. Hope the recovery is fast and that you do not have anymore wrinkles. Maybe he took some away?

If it was Dr.Bugra, then no one has ever heard a bad report of him.

Thanks for keepingyour word Waddo

It was one and the same! Dr Bugra Sadikoglu (with ^ over the g's of course) and his phone number is:

0533-867-33-47. A great guy and I understand his wife is also a Pediatrician and works out of the same office.

I am sure he would not mind me telling you that the cost of all his hard work came to 350TL and that the pathology cost was 180TL so at least you have an idea of costs.

Not one bad comment to make about him at all. No extra wrinkles but then difficult to tell if there are any amongst the originals anyway.
