Hi everyone on Cyprus 44 .

I am trying to do a bit of market research on how many people have had a slip on wet flooring in Cyprus .

I would be grateful for all feedback even if it's just a few words in reply.

Ideally though, I would like to know

(1) Whether you have just had a freightening slip .

(2)A slip that resulted in an injury that was self treated.

(3)A injury that resulted Hospital treatment as an outpatient.

(4)A serious injury leading to a hospital stay.

Where it occurred .

(4) At home .

(5) at a shop ,supermarket, restaurant etc.

(6) A public building ie government offices ,police station, etc

And finally do you know what type of surface you slipped on.

(7) Tile.

(8)Traventino.

(9)polished concrete,brick etc.

(10)Marble.

Should you know of anyone freind, relative or neighbor who has had a slip on wet tiles but is no longer in the TRNC please let me have as much infirmation as possible

Thanks to all

Safestep

Market research promptly followed by no win no fee. There will be no going through the town square when it does.

What is that you have in your mouth Sal? it looks like bitter lemon from the grimace on your photo, but please explain what has no win no fee got to do with some one trying to find out how many accidents happen because of wet tiles. No win No fee in the TRNC get a life

Hi safestep,

Although this did not happen in Cyprus but when we lived and worked in Italy, I slipped on wet marble and fell down themarble stairs. The result was a broken hip, which had to be replaced as it was so badly broken it would not have healed correctly. This happened 14 years ago and I have still got pain from the knee on the same side as the replacement hip, due to the fact that I have put more pressure on the knee joint over the years. I am now absolutely terrified of walking on wet tiles or marble. Anything that will make wet tiles safe is in my opinion worth spending the money on.

msg 2 Hi Sally the reason I was doing market research was to find out how many accidents there are in a year from people slipping on wet tiles to market my product .It has nothing to do with no win no fee lawyers and I don't for one instance think that you could make a case in the TRNC anyway, but please if you can not answer the question that was asked in a sensible manner do not post at all.

Msg 4 The butlers wife ,thankyou very much for your feedback ,sorry to hear that you still suffer from what was a very serious accident and I promise I WON'T be sending out ,no win no fee forms

Presumably the research will then lead to you recommending your own products. Or am I just an old cynic.

msg 15 Jefferson do you honestly think I am doing this research for other companies benefit, but as this is an open forum the competition can see the results as well.

msg 17 rowlo I asked a serious question but you want to make a joke out of it what ever is the matter with you people. do honestly think a child is going to get out of a pool and put welly boots or the like on or that some body getting out of the shower is going to immediatly put on shoes . As most people are now wearing croc style shoes these do not stop you slipping on wet tiles ,I know and have the bruises to prove it . so please find some other thread to interfear with , with your childish comments

Msg 16 sweep thanks for the information very helpful. I hope the young lad is OK now sounds like a very nasty slip

Hey safestep,

I slipped on my wet marble tiles in the kitchen and badly hurt my knee. I did not go to hospital, but I am now very much more aware of wet tiles and how slippery they can be....

That's the information you said you wanted, but I can't be buggered with all the other nonsense being posted by Camp et al.

I slipped down a friend's wet front steps made of polished stone and ended up with a lump like a parcel shelf on my backside for over 3 months! I treated the bruising with arnica but it didn't take away the swelling so went to Girne state hospital - as recommended by our doc - where I had an ultrasound which revealed an 8cm x 5cm hematoma (2 months after the event). Now over 4 months down the line there's still slight swelling and some pain - ouch!

msg 20 APC why do you make the stupid assumption that I slipped at my own home I did not say that or do you think that I should keep a gallon of it on me to apply as I walk along, and incidently I thought zero did not use chlorine for his pools

Why can't people just answer the question instead of going off on a tangent!!!!

My husband slipped on traventino steps out of our villa in Karsiyaka a few years ago. Although he wasn't badly hurt and didn't need medical treatment, he was quite shakken up and had a nasty graze where he'd run his arm down the corner of the house. Not a good few days after as he'd bruised his back on the step as well.

Since then I have bought ornate rubber treads from'Kleenezee' in the UK. These have been a godsend, no more slip-ups!
