We are coming out in October with our grand-daughter who has had a few weekly horse riding lessons, she would be interested to know if there are any riding schools in and around Kyrenia where she would be able to do short trecks. Thankyou

I have a lovely horse called oracle and is a lovely ride especially for children. She does have one little nasty habbit in that she has developed a taste for British blood and insists on taking a chunk of British children so I am afraid she is no good for you if you are British.

Dont think YFred was funny, no way would I want my lovely grand-daughter bitten. To say his horse only bit the british people was uncalled for. Flossie thanks for the info about the Catalkoy riding school, but I think you have to be 15yrs old plus.

sissy Where will you be staying? Is Karsiyaka too far? If not, I can arrange for your grand-daughter to ride at Kozan restaurant. Savash the owner, has horses and are suitable for hacking. Happy to ride with your grand-daughter if she would like to meet up. Regards Judy (ex horse owner/lover)

Thankyou so much for your replies Amy, and Judy. We are situated at Tatlisu/Bacheli so we would have quite a way to travel. I am not familiar with the two areas mentioned Camlibel and Karsiyaka which would be the nearest for us to visit you. Thanks

Sissy Camlibel is further on than Karsiyaka and agree is quite a way to travel from where you are staying. Kosan is also a restaurant in a pine forest.....stunning views! Have a look at their web site:- http://www.kozan.co.nr If you are unable to find anything suitable nearer to you, I have two suggestions if Grand-daughter is keen to ride while on holiday. 1. You could make a day of it and come and see this side of the island. 2. I could meet you in Girne and take you to Kozan's, where you could have drinks/lunch while your gran-daughter rides.
