What code should they use

We have friends due to arrive at Larnaca, if they send me a text from their UK phone to my UK phone do they use the code for UK or Southern Cyprus, any help appreciated.

Hattikins, Clarissa is correct. If you're friends are using a UK phone and phoning you on your UK SIM, they won't need a code, just the usual number 079xxxx etc. If they text you to a Turkey no. when in the South, the text will arrive because the message would be routed back to the UK before being sent on to Turkey. I don't know if the messages arrive back if you were to text them on their UK no. when they arrive in the South because mine never did!

They should use the UK code +44 as they will be overseas at the time so will be contacting you effectively in the UK, your phone system will divert it to either RoC or NC depending on where you are at the time.
