According to Trip Advisor, the Kyrenia Tavern is Kyrenia's number one restaurant. Any comments please.

It's opposite the West Wall of Kyrenia Castle. And it's an excellent restaurant - try the full meze...

It is by the fire station and is also called Pasabache. lovely old couple run it, and serve whatever she has cooked that day. Usually there is a choice of 3 or 4 mains, and the mezes are always excellent. Also her home made olive bread. It has a nice garden too.

Not sure if it has inside dining but the courtyard is quite big. All the food is freshly cooked and we have had many an excellent evening there. But be prepared for a long evening, its worth it though.

Used to go there regularly when my mother was alive, they looked after her so well, just like she was part of the family.

The lady's name was Naomin or something like that but cant remember the name of her husband.

Lovely couple

If you walk past the charity shop you will see an arched gateway across the road but on same side. Walk in and someone will greet you. Its usually best to pop in day before and book.

RE my msg 4: Sorry, I seem to have been confused: the restaurant I mentioned is called Kyrenia Taverna (not: Tavern).

Couldn't agree more Bounty, but a fan would have helped.

I've been there last night and and its fantastic old Cypriot style Tavern. One of the Oldest and still serving traditional Turkish Cypriot Mezes and Dishes. Run by Elderly couple and their son.

I recomend it to anyone and don't expect it to be modern, thats why its nice.

Afiyet Olsun!!!

Oskan Bey and his wife are a lovely and courteouselderly couple who will ensure that you have a really nice evening at the Tavern.Usually just a choice of lamb or chicken for the mains but lots of good mezze and old world atmosphere.....enjoy

We haven't been for a couple of years but the home cooked food is certainly worth visiting it for.

Opposite the Law Courts is a row of public telephone boxes, turn left along the road just past the telephone boxes, walk up a little way and you will see Pasabache Restaurant, also named Kyrenia Tavern...It is on the corner, opposite the road that takes you back down to the Colony.

Directions: Pass the fire station coming from Post office , just before small Belediye Car park its on the corner on the left (at the end of the one way street coming from Efendi's Retaurant) with the sign "KYRENIA TAVERN".
