Just wanted to say just how delicious the Kirik Catal Restaurant. We were over 2 weeks ago and ate there on a number of occasions.

I can most definitley confirm that the Meze, Mixed Grill, Mousakka and Spaghetti Bolognese are all delicious. You get plenty of food so dont go wearing anything too tight!

Niazi is a superb host, he even made us welcome when we stopped by in the morning and I am already missing my glass of Turkish Tea with him, a mug of tea in cold grey england is not the same!

For those that fancy trying, the restaurant is just down from Girne Barbers Shop and at the back of Set Italian.

Hoping it will still be around when we return next year

I'm not keen on Niazis, the one opp the Dome anyway. Went with friends one night, terrible service by a bad tempered waiter who couldn't give a sh*t, and mediocre food. Didn't leave a tip anyway. Deff not going back.

The original poster of this thread wasn't talking about Niazis. Please read the posts properly.

No Kirik Catal is nothing to do with Niazi's whatsoever and i'm with you LaptaMike, not over keen on Niazi's myself but hey each to their own.

Do go down and give Kirik Catal a try the food really is delicious. Just thinking about it now whilst I look at the rain through the window of my cold office!!

Message 12 if you walk down from the main car park past the Cafe Rouge etc which are opp the municipality building its the second little rd on the left, there are 3 little barbers shop in a row and a little newsagent/shop on the corner you will see the restaurant straight away. He is also open in the daytime from about 11 I think
