Welcome to the forum!

Gorgeous fish, chips & mushy peas at Jessic Bar for 15tl.

Fast food cafe in alsancak is great for a good lunch.

Green Palace in Karsiyaka has nice, affordable food in a lovely setting.

Charcos (which has moved to Lapta) is a beautiful restaurant with a lovely atmosphere.

Hope some of these suggestions are of use!

Hi Krypton,

I believe they are moving to new premises next to 'Tolgas' In Karsiyaka, which is good news for the folks there as not a lot of 'pubs' in the village.

Sorry Birdman,

I stand corrected, the current management / proprietors of Jessics are moving to new premises at the end of the month!

Chris seems like you know and as you have been here the longest you should too. seems like the new people on 44 are not aware of this move as yet ! Chris do you know who Alex is because at one time a few postings called me Alex Sal was one of them ! If you do know it may help..

Ref my last post. Correction, Jessics IS Moving next to Tolgars, opening in about 2/3 weeks. The Ravine is having refurbishment/enlarging done and is still serving food throughout.

Spider,

After reading the high jinks on here tonight not even sure of my own name any more.

Anyway Mus and Denis from jessics are moving to the old Cypriot house next to 'Tolgas' which will be good in my opinion for karsiyaka as not an awful lot there at the moment. Not sure what they are going to call it though.

As to you being called Alex I haven't a scubby Spider I can only surmise it is because of your regal look that they mix you up with 'Princess Alexandria'..

Chris

p.s. sorry Spider now your secret is out, your Highness!! lol

St Tropez, Verandah, the restaurant at The Almond Holiday Village is superb, and almost any one in Lapta, plus all of the ones suggested from nurseawful in message 7...

Kyrypton,

I believe that Medicare are a legitimate business where as TRNC Healthcare are volunteers.

Other than that I really don't know that much about them other than a guy called 'Gus' runs it.

Chris

p.s. If you ever need a free BP check after a stressful night on here don't hesitate to call.

pps. Apologies to new member Gilbo for hijacking his thread. many good restaurants in this area just drive about and you will find them.
