Hi, You can get cat worming tablets from any chemist, they cost about 2 tl per tablet and it depends on the weight of the cat to how many tablets them need. Good luck with your cat taking it though, mine ate all the food around the tablet and it was the only thing left in the dish

Zero, I use to wrap my cat in a towel and hold the towel under her chin and drop the tab down her throat and stroked her throat to ease it down!

Giving cats tablets (or not) is a nightmare, even when we've got them down one of our cats (we have seven cats) throats nine times out of ten they still manage to spit it out. There's a gentleman at Lambousa market that sells books that also sells the worming drops that you put on the back of the cats neck - much easier and no suit of armour or gardening gloves needed! Hope that helps.

I think the easiest way is to grind the tablet down with a knife so it's like a powder and then mix it well into some deliciously expensive cat food as a treat!! Works every time!

If you all remember i had the same problem not so long ago. The ground powder in some delicious food, did not fool the cat i was trying to worm...what i did was, i mixed the powder with a drop of water, then injected it into a large piece of cooked liver...worked a treat! Also Zero, when you buy the tablet from a chemist, be sure to get the stickers as well, then put the sticker in your pet passport, and when you go past a vets, have the vet sign it. This is very important for if and when you decide to cat your cat out of the country. DD

for me for the cats and dogs i grind them up to pulp and mix in their food, so far so good. but i have to stand over them to ensure every last bit is licked clean. I hate giving any of them tablets if injections work better then thats my way forward x

MartinD41/Msg 10: Thanks for that tip! I have syringes, so I'll fix a short length of (model aircraft engine) neoprene fuel tubing to the end of the syringe, mix up my own paste with H2O and a [crushed] 2TL worming tablet. Our cat, even held in a towel, throat stroked, etc., would do anything to regurgitate the tablet, but we found that by holding the tablet in a slim pair of plastic [salad type] tongs, we could open the cat's mouth and place the tablet further down the throat using the tongs, rather than fingers - then we'd tip a very small amount of water after placing the tablet - the cat was then forced to swallow. Using a syringe with paste seems a much better method - but it's still a 2 person operation!

I have never understood why women love cats. Cats are independent, they don't listen, they don't come in when you call, they like to stay out all night, and when they're home they like to be left alone and sleep. In other words, every quality that women hate in a man, they love in a cat.

I never had problems with giving cats tablets: just mix it with great food (Try real majones!) ...and down it goes. With majonees they any cat I have had will lick the plate VERY clean! Cut the tablet in smaller pieces if it is big.

You can buy from the vets an implement, like a long pair of tweezers. You pick up the tablet and are are able to pop it down your cats throat without any problems. I had terrible problems before l got it and it's only about 10tl Good luck.

I tried the pair of tweezers from the vert, and having gone through the whole procedure, took them out of his mouth, and the pill was still in the tweezers!!!!! I crush them up and put them in a bit of hair ball preventive cream, and pop in their mouths. As they like the flavour, they swallow it.

Just had to give these to a semi wild cat!!!! Wrapped in a towel, mouth wrenched open while my partner threw the tablet down her throat. Didn't let her go until she swallowed induced by the stroking under her chin. Tried this 3 times and then gave up because each time she held onto it and then once free, spat it out! Final try was poking it in a small lump of butter on my finger and she licked it down in one - no fuss what so ever!!! If only I had thought of that in the first instance.

Carpenters market on Friday morning at Karaolanolu, there is a lady who sells cat and dog worming drops for the back of the neck. She also sells flea drops in multi-packs.
