Hi guys,

When does the Eid holiday after Ramadan fall? Im planning to come over in October during the Eid holiday here and the 2 days that fall after that. I need to know when people will be back in their offices after Eid.

Also what is the weekend in trnc? Fri/Sat or Sat/Sun... I cant remember.

Many thanks x

I know but the sighting of the moon can change things... And I was wondering whether the dates were the same. I know the names for the Muslim holidays are slightly different to the ones here.

Many thanks

Hi desert rose

We are coming to Dubai early next year to live there. What`s it like during ramadan over there, Is it true that all the restaurants are close or not serving food ? I diden`t blive that but hey always ask someone who lives there.

Thanks Tugbay.

Hi Cypriot,

Yes they do close during the day from sunrise to sunset. You are not alowed to smoke, drink outside during the day. I am pretty sure that they do not serve alcohol at all during this month. It is quite a good month to visit though as they have lots of activities etc after dark.

It will be my first year here during Ramadan as I was in Bahrain for the past 7 and they changed the laws every year so I could be a little off. I know they are much stricter here.

Hope this helps.

A x
