Seems a strange menu for a 1st and 2nd world war remembrance evening?

the 3 night 'Festival of Remembrance' a ChorusLambousa production which has been put together by a whole gang of people and will feature a selection of songs from the 1st and 2nd World Wars sung by the chorus as well as some old time favourites which we feel everyone will know and be invited to sing along with, the theme of the evening being Hope, Despair, Remembrance & Rejoice. The evening will also include solo renditions, poetry reading appropriate to the occasion and a guest musician from the UK and the Baron's Theatre will be decorated accordingly. Tickets are already on sale and are moving fast so don't do your normal trick and leave it to the last minute – plan ahead, especially if you want a standard table of 10. It would be great if you could add to the sense of occasion by having all ex service personnel who will be attending wearing their regimental accoutrements and medals and you decorate your table with union flags, bunting etc in an unashamed outburst of god old Briti

etc in an unashamed outburst of good old British nostalgia and patriotism, that is the mood we are attempting to capture, just think 'Rule Britannia' and you get the idea.

Hi all,

We're three and a half weeks out from this and the rehearsals are going extremely well.

As mentioned above, this concert is designed to be an uplifting proms type show with an unashamed outburst of good old British nostalgia and patriotism. The audience are invited to join in with numbers like Land of Hope and Glory, Jerusalem and such. There's also a trumpeter joining us from the UK for the post horn gallop among other moments.

Reservations are firming up with only a few seats left for Saturday, and a few more for Thursday and Friday. Reservations can be made at the Saturday Market from Saturday 18th September at the Chateau Lambousa Hotel, Lapta or by calling 0533 833 0841, 0533 846 0702 or 0533 846 9658.

Alternatively you can contact us by emailing: ChorusTheatreLambousa@hotmail.com.

Went last night with family and had a wonderful night. Some good old fashioned sinalongs and some poiniant moments of remembrance. Well done to all those who took part - the audience certainly showed their appreciation.

WELL DONE!!!!!
