| arrived last week and see there are two new places to eat.
anyone been to either? have leaflet for blue door which just has details of mezes - presume they do other meals.
whereabouts is the black olive? |

| We have eaten at blue door - yes you can have mezes if you wish - but they also do other dishes - we were very happy with the meals and service.
Not sure about Black olive - they have only just re-opened, so we have not had a chance to visit yet.
You are spoilt for choice in alsancak - and depending on your like/dislike - check to see if they have live music/karoake on the nights you want to visit, we try to avoid these nights. |

| Suggest you try the Taj Mahal at Zeki's Bar in Lapta - on the main road just past the Hotel Semati turning, great food and a warm welcome. |

| We had a very good meal at Blue Door a couple of weeks ago certainly better than most Cypriot restaurants and on a par with the better ones. |

| i wanted to try blue door, but it got poor write ups so did not bother for my birthday maybe i should have gone ? |

| thanks for all replies. have had 3 excellent meals in alsancak/lapta area so far and will try blue door. have been to st tropez twice on previous visits and first class. everytime we come out we have our favourite restaurants and then there are those that have been recommended that we didnt have time to get to last visit. then you come out and there are even more new ones such as blue door and zekis that are recommended - and thats just on this side of girne. so much choice!!! |
