Lou, difficult to judge but I would say minimum 5 tons. Its normal structural gauge, if that makes sense.

Can you prove that it is yours, or, may the builder turn up and accuse the buyer of 'steeling' his property?

professorgit/Msg 1: 'If there are any seriously interested people out there, let me know.'

Even though many people on this forum would accept that you have paid for this surplus steel, surely you don't want to put yourself in an 'invidious position'?

Of course, it's none of my business, but I suspect that Geoff & Mary Day thought the same.....so, bearing that in mind, I suggest you get a signed and notarised letter from your builder/supplier stating that the exact quantity belongs to, and has been paid for, in full, by you.

It is also worth warning any buyer of '*professoregit's' steel, that purchase, however cheaply and without 'proof of purchase' of this 'offer', could be legally construed as 'receiving stolen goods' - with similar repercussions to those of the Day's, especially if the *seller is, or has been, in dispute with his builder, past or present.

When a precedent has been set [ref. Geoff & Mary Day], I suggest that one cannot be too careful!

This board is amazing. I've asked a simple question, and get some serious simple minded S&^*.

I'm not going to talk about whether or not I have so called bills of sale, permission from whom ever,

just to say none of your F&*(ing business, less to say any potential second party will not have to worry

and I am sure will take the necessary measures to ensure so. Thanks Lou, Sali, MrWilson and Zero.

Straight question, straight answers.
