Ten

It would appear from the inaction of the EU that they do not recognise a con when it is staring them in the face.

As the TRNC is not a member of the EU, should they recognise that a con is taking place, they can still do bugger all about it.

Good posting, 'FP'!

They CAN, certainly, do something about it, if they could get off their overpaid, lazy, fat arses to be bothered to do so - suspend ALL funding until ALL 'Human Rights' aspects are implemented into law, and then be seen to to be respected and adhered to - so simple a solution!

If EU [EU Commission] cared one 'jot' about its citizens' rights, stern action [to force these 'rogue' states to comply] would have been taken already!

Well, lets put it to the test on here then, after all, the forum consists of a large cross section of the comuinity does it not? so the result would be representative.

Article 7 of the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive 2005/29/EC

[states that] “in its factual context, taking account of all its features and circumstances and the limitations of the communication medium, it omits material information that the average consumer needs, according to the context, to take an informed transactional decision and thereby causes or is likely to cause the average consumer to take a transactional decision that he would not have taken otherwise.”

Would you buy if you knew there was a mortgage on or likely to be on the land in the future?

Thank you for concisely defining the clause [Article 7] that embraces the legal and ethical standard that has been allowed to be thoroughly flouted throughout the island of Cyprus; and not only flouted; by successive governments' complete inaction - demonstrably condoned!
