HildySmith as long as either partner has authority to withdraw funds on their own they can transfer the funds to Northern Cyprus, this works both ways of course. I think that is what you are asking.

Forget any card from Credit West, they now charge 35TL annually and do not respond to email correspondence when in dispute with these arbitrary charges.

Brinsley Creditcard charges are very common all over the world, I have passed on your request to your branch they should respond in due course.

What absolute twaddle! Most Credit cards are issued FOC, it's Charge cards that incur an annual fee. I trust you know the difference! Please answer how Credit West issued Cardplus FOC, then decided to charge 15TL a year later, which then rose to 35TL in the subsequent year? Have you done the same % increases on interest payments? I still have not received any replies to emails sent to yourself, my branch or Cardplus. Bankers, don't you just love them!

Great, organise the appointment and I'll forward the return airfare for you to reimburse. Why do you think I emailed rather than calling at the Branch in person? I've heard of passing the buck but passing the Lira?!

Hi, is the Cardplus charge just for the credit card or is it also levied on the debit card?

What are the interest rates at present on Lire and Sterling and is there an enhanced rate for larger deposits?

I've just got 9% for a relatively small amount. Don't know the rate for large amounts.

Also tried e-mailing but no joy, I sat in your bank this week for 50 mins to do a transfer, you charged me to transfer money which was fine, when the money reached the other end it was another £22 short, hence total charge of £47, please ring me on 0533 840 3328 to discuss, thanks.

Waddo you can have the sterling cheque processed (collected from the UK if drawn on a bank in the UK) once the funds are available you can convert into Turkish Lira and place them in a deposit account.

pollymarples of course there is always a little extra which is getting smaller and smaller by the month for larger amounts, speak to your branch manager, they will advise you.

The question about the charge on credit cards yes we do charge an annual fee on cards that have a credit card limit but not on debit cards, only when the debit card is being cancelled a one off charge equal to the annual charge of the given year is levied.

Sorry Creditwestrep - not clear - is there an annual charge? If not, why would you charge it if the debit card is cancelled?

Mr/Ms rep. I can assure you I have spoken to the Manager and was assurred there was NO extra, I am getting 9% on my lire account and 3.5% on my sterling and if so much had not been happening in my life, I would have moved it by now. The balances are not insignificant. Also Karaolanglu Branch. Perhaps it is because I have no cards with you so you are not making much out of me. Asbank give me 9% on my llire account, as normal for anyone with over 50,000 lire. Not so generous on my Sterling account 3.25% but the staff are lovely. Koop Bank offered me 4% on sterling (one month).

OUt of interest (pun intended) which branch are you from??

Laptagal there is no regular charge on debit cards, the one off charge is an admin cost for cancelling card itself.

If you choose to promote the merits of your 'Banking Services' on an open, public forum you lend yourself open to criticism for any lack of service you purport to offer. You and my Branch Manager have my email address however, I'll email you my overseas telephone numbers which I know you hold on record! This seems to me a futile exercise considering 'your costs' involved would amount to more than any outstanding financial issues I have with yourselves. This matter is a point of principle, more to do with sharp, unethical banking practices and the reality of how 'customer services' deal with a 35TL issue!

The Creditwestrep has been good enough to offer himself up to help.

He does not make the bank's rules and is simply trying to help customers.

The fact that you have a simple 35tl issue and yet see fit to use foul language and insulting terminology speaks volumes about you and does you no favours.

Despite your purile rants, the Creditwestrep still deals with you politely and with respect, which is much more than you deserve.

Can I suggest you take a look at your posts and then look at yourself. Is it really worth all that anger?
