This evening. as is often the case, I was the only person in this delightful bar/restaurant. It's in the most lovely position in the back streets of Lapta and run by a super local family. The bar prices are about the same as prices on the strip although some are cheaper, and the menu is typical TC and reasonably priced. The restaurant itself is a picture. with local decor a main theme. The kitchen is spotless an loos likewise. PLease try and use this lovely place or lose it!

Usually if there is no one in a place - it isn't very good?

I reckon it's 'cos nobody can find it - and he doesn't advertise well. It's on the top road going from Alsancak to the Lapta Beledir - coming from Alsancak turn left at the big school and follow the road. Coming from the other way turn right after the Lapta Post Office and the first left. It's 50 yards on the right. A lovely place.

I pass Teo's often and think of dropping in for a drink but it always looks closed.

I have heard it is a very good place and tried to go there last year when we were over on holiday. having driven around for almost an hour we gave up and went to Aphrodite. Perhaps some better sineage as would love to try it. I would also say that Aphrodite is well worth a visit too!!!

Not much of an advert is it?

Perhaps you didn't read message 4. BTW in your 12 postings to date are any of them informative or just snipes at previous postings? - If you've nothing helpful or useful to add to the forum please just can it.

I read post 4. Thanks. I know where it is. I have been there a few times and have even eaten there. My comment was not on the place but on your advert. Your advert was not much of an advert. You must try harder if you want to promote a place. You started a thread about Teo's and there is no harm in that. You have now attacked someone who you felt didn't quite agree with you and turned a thread aimed at helping Teo's into something else. Very silly.

I looked back at my posting and yours. I see you are the Cyprus44 expert at sniping. Is your comment that I have made 12 posts because you think I have made too many posting in the six weeks since I joined or not enough to entitle me to a view on things?

Having now read some of your previous posts I think that you could well do with taking some of your own advice; "If you've nothing helpful or useful to add to the forum please just can it."

I have been to Teo's once and will never go back, the meze was the smallest meze ever, two of our party of eight meals arrived after all the other six people had finished eating. The service was awful, the food was just OK! and overpriced. Never again!!

Decided on your recommendation to visit Teo's for dinner while we were over this time.

Expected to see you there but when we asked we were told that you were barred.

What did you do?

Babbs - He was simply told him why he wasn't getting customers. I won't slag him off because I maintain what I said in message 1, but someone else gets my custom now! Julia - I think it's funny too!

Thank you for your reply jetski but i heard a different story . That you got pretty upset because he was not happy with your dog in his bar/restaurant and that you recommend other restaurants in his bar to customers which is absolutely rediculous .

And that is the way it should be no dogs in restaurants ! and recommend outside of bars to people you know .

you are outrageous.

Babbs - it is nothing to do with a dog - my dog was NEVER in his bar - it was outside or in the car whenever I was there. And there is nothing wrong with recommending an excellent lunchtime location to someone. Teo's (at the time) was never open at lunchtime so what business might he have lost? What IS outrageous is a publican listening in to private conversations and passing them on to you.
