| AGA BUYERS ACTION GROUP Good Morning, I Understand you intend to hold a protest opposite the Turkish Embassy this coming Monday? Your event has been logged and noted here at Westminster (CW / 1972 / 2010) Its my understanding the Embassy are aware of your event (they should be they told us). By all means have a protest but be mindful that the venue is diplomatic and therefore certain legal protocols must be present. I'd ask that the list below is complied with. This will avoid unnecessary diplomatic stress. Please be mindful that actions in the UK at foreign Embassies can put UK Embassies in a compromising position elsewhere in the world. If so please can I ask that the following is adhered to. The list below will ensure a peaceful, lawful gathering and avoid the unnecessary expense of deploying Westminster police officers who could be better employed undertaking their core policing responsibilities elsewhere. There's no rocket science involved |

| pretty much good old common sense with a splash of sensible reasonableness. Please may I respectfully reinforce the fact that its your event and therefore your responsibility to ensure it passes off peacefully and safely. We the police accept no responsibility for your event and reasonably assume you will take a socially responsible attitude towards your event. I thank you in advance for your co operation and understanding. Please Note that people are to gather opposite the venue in question. As you plan to gather on public land ( i.e. public thorough fares or footways) I would ask that the following common sense agreements are adhered to. 1.(Public Obstruction) Please no obstruction of any public footways or thorough fares, crossings or the like. Footway obstruction still applies regardless of the purpose behind the event and as an organiser you are responsible for that event. I'd ask that no road crossing points are blocked or obstructed. I would also as |

| .....and the email con.....if anyone wants a copy let us know I would ask that due consideration is given to litter. If the above take place there is absolutely no reason why your event should pass off without incident. Simple common sense is the order of the day. If you apply common sense, add reasonableness and consider others (ie the general public) am sure your event will pass off peacefully. I wish you success. | Good luck girls and I hope everyone adhere to the rules and you don't give an opportunity to others to divert attention to something else. Basically you want justice and someone responsible to talk to. Beware of Greek Cypriots who may try to turn the protest into something else. ismet |
