Anyone lost a donkey ?

A well fed donkey gave us a visit this afternoon it has been wandering around for the last two days

we have fed and watered it and for its own safety tethered it to a tree in the shade.

The donkey obviously got loose as it was still attached to a very long rope.

If you know the owner please phone 05338851032 or phone the owner with this number.

ps MANURE for SALE same number !!!!!

The nearest donkey I can think of would be Isabella from Aphrodite restaurant just over the border in Lapta. Perhaps it would be worth your while popping down there to have a word with Cemal. Sorry, I don't have a contact number for him. If the donkey is male then it is obviously not Isabella

Donkeys in Cyprus often stray from their locality, but like cats they always end up finding their own way home. In the old days and in some rural areas now, donkeys are let loose by the owners to cater for their own food! When hungry they make their own way to their farm, garden where ever... I suggest you set him/her free and he/she will make her own way home!

Thanks Lilli

Whilst I appreciate where your coming from being the slaves of 3 cats we live at the edge of a very busy building site with another site further on both sites are similar to bomb sites with huge uncovered very deep craters and as we all know piles and piles of rubble etc and I really fear for its safety. The other problem being the fact we are not that far from the main road where two dogs were killed only last week.

cath and many many more until we get a rescue centre to take the probs from kar , they do their best to neuter and return, now we need a centre that will not allow them back on the streets to be killed, poisoned or shot. they cannot cope they have said so, look at the percentage of dead puppies. They need a back up. Go to the site and see the black bags along the way, dead puppies. parvo virus. its what they get when in fairness they have to put a puppy in a cage with a long term . This government needs to get real and address this situation

Yes Lilli I agree something needs to be done we can only hope it will be sooner rather than later.

On the roads the roaming animals also cause cars to swerve to avoid them its only a matter of time before this causes the loss of human lives if it has not already happened.

There is very often a Donkey tethered on the right hand side, close to where they have built the new hotel in Karsiyaka, heading towards Guzelyali beaches, could it be this one?

The donkey belongs to the one-armed shepherd who lives in Karsiyaka. He is searching for it.

Many thanks for all your help. We take it that the one armed shepherd has retrieved his donkey because it was there until about 0830 hrs this morning having been watered earlier in the morning. Hope it got back to where it belongs?

Normally rowlo comes along soon after to collect it, that was the agreement between them as payback for services rendered.

It could be Rifat's (corner of Yasham Sokak) - we fed and watered it a couple of weeks ago after it had gone walkies...
