| In the three years we have been here we are now on kettle #8! From the very cheap to the quite expensive. Between the water quality and the iffy voltages they don't last long. |

If you have a gas cooker you can't beat a whistling kettle on the gas ring - then you can have a nice cuppa when the power goes off!

| Try Lambousa market on Saturdays, lots of bargains on small electrical home appliances on there. And very cheap. Better off with good quality and cheap! |

| If you boil some lemon slices in the kettle and leave for a few hours or overnight it makes a great natural descaler, and your kettle (gas or electric ) will last much longer. We are only on our second electric kettle in 4 years and that was because of a faulty lid.
Its cheap and harmless too. |
