Hi all,

Could anyone help me with the procedure with registering with Kibtek, - i have looked back through the threads but could not find anything.

A walkthrough of what to do would be really helpful right from what documentation you need to where Kibtek is.

Many thanks

Litttle white , the problem we all have with kibtek , is that there rules changed all the time so you need to see what the rule is on the day .

gemma:

You've really upset me.

A few weeks before we were over it was 120YTL, when we were there in May it had gone up to 540YTL, but we were unable to transfer as our contract was still with land registry. Going to Kibtek next monday to try again.

All you need is a copy of your Contract (with stamp duty Paid) Copy of your Passport and a wheelbarrow full of money. The Charges seem to change as to the time of day. It helps if you can speak Turkish. I spent eventually after 12 visits on the Final Day 4 hours and that was quick!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Make sure your contract is stamped........they don't accept them otherwise.

The standing charge isn't really fixed. It appears to depend on the number of days that the bill covers. If you work on around 0.35 ykr per day, it'll be about right. The problem is that the electricity charges have been going up and down like a yoyo so it's near impossible to work out accurately.
