I have family over and they want to try a full blown Meze. I have been to Cenap's a few times but wondered if there were any other recommended places.

Bufavento restaurant on the mountain road very authentic and very good prices.Or Patina Kebab on the

Oscars road we had to have a doggie bag as there was so much meat.

The Archway... Great Meze and great location in a wonderful Cypriot stone house ..even the waiters are in Traditional dress

Cenaps every time for a full meze ........ other places offer a 10 or 12 meze as a starter which is fine ....but for the traditional meze experience it has to be cenap !!! IMHO !!! This is my favourite restaurant ( and hubby works there LOL !!)



If you wanted to try a different place for the same type of food Archway in Zeytinlik is great too -lovely setting although a little more dear than Cenap .

I took my family to the Hill Top Restaurant in Baspinar when they were over. 26 course meze & a view to die for!



I'm not big on meze myself so couldn't comment but my daughter in law loved it so did the children - had to take a huge 'catty bag' home with us as far too much meat!



The Hilltop is way up the mountain in Baspinar above lapta (follow the signs & keep going up!)

How much is Meze at Cenaps? I seem to remember it was very expensive last time unless it was all of the wine!

Come out past esentepe, first turning on left when you reach Kucuk Erenkoy Sea Breeze restaurant at the bottom of the road on left. 10 course Meze, Bread/cheese/butter all home made, then main courses of fish/shish kebabs chicken lamb or pork/meat balls max price is around 24tl cheapest is chicken shish 15tl. Beautiful food excellent prices and the meze to die for. We eat there very often definately recommend.

try most local places - mezes are ususally free with main course. not out the west though. 40tl for a meze - now you really are having a laugh

try out the east side - no 'pub grub here'

Local friends took me to The Address, where we had very authentic meze, along with main course.

Their little puffy breads are gorgeous.

Scoty - 40 TL for a full kebab and meze ( at Cenaps ) very good value



18 - 23 cold meze , 10 -12 hot meze followed by mixed meat grills , fruit, special dessert and coffee and brandy ALL of this for only 40 TL !!!! Excellent value for money !

Meze restaurant in Gönyeli is far better then anyone else in whole Cyprus.

You are going to stop waiter to not get you anymore

I have to agree with airy fairy... I have tried a lot of the places mentioned but for a genuine and authentic meze and experience, Cenap's has yet to be beaten for me... Only once have I ever managed to get through every course... It is 40TL but I think you will find few places which will offer so much food for your money!!!!
