Hi,

Im a bit of a technophobe, so could do with some advice.

This morning, when I tried to open kktcell, a warning came up telling me I had an active threat ie trojan and gave me the option to ignore or move to vault.

I moved it to vault but did not dare open kktcell.

I then did a scan and was given the all clear.

When I opened kktcell afterwards, where the word 'connect' normally comes up, it was blank, but when i clicked into the box, the internet opened ok

Does this mean that I still have a problem

The internet seems to be working ok apart from that?

Download a decent internet protection. AVG or Norton etc, then have that give it a good clean sweep.

You should be fine though

Happened to me, too. Doesn't the fact that you were given the option to move to vault mean that it has been picked up by a decent virus killer? I am using AVG.

Thanks all for your replies.

I do use AVG.

I still cant understand why the word 'connect' in the kktcell opening screen is missing, even though it does connect me

I have discovered a free virus protection by the most reputable! I used to use AVG but was not very happy at times.

I recommend you download Microsoft Security Essentials. This one is exceptionally efficient in constant monitoring of any download and warning you immediately if a virus (such as trojan) has entered inadvertantly, at the same time asking you to clear it. Click of a button and no more virus!

It scans not only your hard drives but one can use "custom scan" to scan and clear any USB storage devices you decide to connect on to your computer. It cleans out any viruses present in yjose as well. It constantly / automatically updated itself to cater for any new viruses discovered on internet. It also gives you full description of what the virus is and what harm exactly it is expected to inflict! To cut a long story right here - download this and relax.

NOTE After download, before you run/install this software you must uninstall

Have you noticed that the 'connect' sign is now back?

A useful tip if necessary, but the fault just seems to have corrected itself. It lasted about two days, but was a bit concerning as it started after a trojan warning and a 'move to vault'.

BigOz, that wouldn't stop a pig in an alley with a bowlegged farmer! why would Microsoft who own Norton give you a free security ware ..all they are doing is monitoring your activity.

Happened to me too. I called turkcell and asked if anyone else had reported this problem. I was deafened with silence. Also when I used my phone the ringing tone had turned into a screeching tone. I have a very good aniti virus so I have come to the conclusion that it was some kind of fault with turkcell's system. As you all say the problem has now righted itself.
