Does anyone listen to Radio ADA

Currently Radio ADA has 4 ex-pat radio presenters playing music on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday & Friday evenings from 6 till 7pm. On Friday Maggie has a guest appearing on her show, usually someone who is in the news, and provides interesting debate. Unfortunately (due to computer upgrade work) none of the shows have been broadcasted for last two weeks. I would be very interested to know how many of the forum members tune in and listen to the show(s). It's broadcasted on 96.3 FM. Please provide your comments, thanking you in advance, Max....

Interesting point Max. Unfortunately I listen only in my car and that is always to Bayrak Classics. So I am afraid that I have never listened to Radio ADA. But I am sure it must give some folk pleasure.

Not at home much on a Sunday but used to listen to DJ Mike ,then Thursday Alan at 6pm to 7pm and Maggie at 6pm to 7pm on a Friday.

It's also my keep fit time,dancing around whilst getting the tea.

We actually learnt more about Island life and it's people listening to Maggie Meets.Hope these slots continue.

I quite often listen to the thursday and friday shows - I enjoy the news on island life etc. I also love the way that it sounds like they haven't updated their equipment for 20 years!!!!



Noticed it's not been on much recently.

Or dead radio and as confirmed by message 1 I have not been able to hear anything that has been promised for some time now. I tune in and sometimes just hear a carrier then other times when it is transmitting something it is just constant wall to wall music when there were published interviews that should have been taking place.

Anyway I will not give up but please let us all know when things are back to normal again.

Max, whilst we were over we tried to listen on 96.3 but like AJ we could not hear what was supposed to be on. But we did listen on 105.05 on Saturday, thanks for playing the request for Jean.

I had arranged to interview Funky Monkey live in the studio on Thursday 23rd Sept, only to be told 2 days before that "it is not possible to do live shows - the computer must be reformatted". Maggie had guests booked for her show on 24th Sept, and had to cancel them at short notice. She was also planning to interview Bex Marshall and her husband last Friday - again cancelled - "the computer has not been fully formatted yet". These interviews are publicised in advance in the Cyprus Star, and we can only apologise to listeners - we are trying very hard to find out when the station will be back on air for live shows, and not just broadcasting "constant wall to wall music".



How long does it take to reformat a computer................................................?

I love to listen to these shows whenever I can, especially Maggie's Friday show. Come on Ada Radio, get the equipment sorted, let these DJ's get on with their show in the way that they would like and bring us live interviews.
