Can anyone please recommend a reliable and reputable insurance company for property and contents in North Cyprus. We have been insured with Intasure who now inform us that they are no longer able to insure property in North Cyprus as they have changed their underwriters.

Our neighbour was enquiring about insurance only yesterday as the company that he was previously insured with is no longer covering North Cyprus. Do you think this is significant? Why have at least two companies suddenly decided not to cover homes in North Cyprus?

Working on a sample of two, it does seem suspicious, but I think the sample size may cause concern if people were to draw firm conclusions.

Anyway, how are you, NN? I hear you are back in the TRNC soon. Hope we get to meet you. I had hoped to follow your Thailand adventures on Facebook, but you do not seem to have posted a lot. I always enjoy your tuppence worth on C44.

We have two reputable companies at the Ozankoy Bookshop - Limassol and Commercial both long-established firms that we know pay out.

Just a point. It would be interesting to know.

How many insurance companies did pay out for damage from the winter floods?

Thank you everyone for your help. Will try enquiring at your recommendations. By the way Intasure assured me that the reason for pulling out was purely because their underwriters at Lloyds had changed so there may be no underlying reason for this.
