Hi everyone,

I've finally got my act together and I'm about to making a booking with Park Lane Bungalows ( for the last week in October). This follows a recommendation from lots of you on the forum way back in June. I've just found out that Debbie, who's name cropped up a lot in connection with Park Lane on the forums, left a week ago. Just wondered if there was any reason why Debbie's departure would alter the recommendation. Also does there tend to be much going on around Park Lane & Alsancak in late October?

I'd also appreciate contact details for horse riding ~ for one very experienced rider while I lie by a pool and read a book ~ if anyone is in the know!

Finally, if you can order some fab weather for 24 October onwards I'd be even more chuffed.

Many thanks in anticipation of a whole host of answers! JoAnne

Like most places, I think that you will be lucky to find a riding school to suit an experienced rider- However, there is an excellent riding school in Bellapais. Sorry cant remember their name but my wife, an experienced rider, really enjoyed her time there.

The riding club in Catalkoy is an excellent place for an experienced rider. They hack out daily and take in the stunning scenery that Northern Cyprus has to offer.

The website for the club is: http://www.catalkoyridingclub.com

I have been to the Catalkoy Riding School and was very impressed. Horses and tack in excellent condition, better than a lot of establishments at home.

They ride out very early and do not expect to go any faster than an occasional trot.

Hi,

Thanks to all of you who have recommended the Catalkoy riding school. My sister had already seen that on the web but its great to get recommendations/first hand experiences. Think she'll be going for a couple of early starts while I switch off from the world!
