you only need a large jam-jar with a bit of old tights banded to the top

a teaspoonful of mung beans

...and at least three changes of water a day and let drain each time

where they sell the seeds I do not know but surely you can get someone

to carry a few over

re: the messages for growing my own, I did say in the original post about doing that. Didn't know they were called mung beans though. Ones I have always got in the UK have said bean sprouts on the packets of seeds/beans.



Found some fresh ones today, and tinned ones. Tempo just past Bektas. I used them to make some very nice chicken and ham spring rolls. Very tasty. Better than any I have tasted in a restaurant, anywhere.
