As asked on a previous thread that will be soon closed down for the usual abuse etc, the person asked for a vegan restaurant.

That means no dairy, no meat in any of the preparation. cheese, eggs, fish and certain oils are of no use.

To try get that here is impossible - restaurants will not and cannot afford to keep grills/cookers/pots/cooking oils etc. free of things that vegans will not go near.

The best of luck in finding one, but if you go,stand over the cooking as I don't think they will cook to your requirements.

Could be wrong, but this is only my personal opinion.

A bag of nuts and a beer should suffice! In some outlets the nuts are free and I'm refering to the clientele!

Guys, guys guys!!!!! I know you are having fun, but can we stick to the subject? It was actually a serious request. I know what vegans are and what they can or cannot eat, but wanted to know if anyone had been ttpo a restaurant and noticed if they catered for vegans. Any chance we can keep the thread on the subject???????????

Sorry to inform you but there is not one iota of chance of finding a restaurant that will come up to vegan requirements.

scoty i can help a vegan by cooking pasta with tomato sauce or make some potato gnocchi and many other dishes can be created without the ingridients above mentioned.

Guido

You do not understand these nutters, the pan, the oven, the utensils and the whole environment must be meat & dairy free. There is no compromise, trust me on this one! I think you know my thoughts on this matter!
